Souper Bowl Of Caring And Unity Gardens Presentation (12:30 - noon - 1:30 pm)
During the Souper Bowl of caring on February 5 we will have an opportunity to view some information about the concept of Unity Gardens.  Mike Horchler is arranging for Sara Stewart to share with us regarding this concern. The Unity Gardens are 501(c)3 Non-profit. Initiated in the South Bend area with a goal of community building through a framework of Gardens. The gardens not only provide healthy food for anyone, but also educate the community on how to grow, and eat healthy food. There are currently over 30 Unity Gardens locations spread around the South Bend area, and they are hoping there will be more sites in the future.  Many of the gardens are located on church or school grounds.  Anyone interested in more information should plan to attend the presentation on Feb. 5th following worship.
